Senior Researcher: Hezbollah’s Galilee Invasion Plan Can Be ‘Put in the Archives’ Col. (res.) Dr. Jacques Neriah, a former deputy head of the IDF Military Intelligence Research Division, says Hezbollah has been weakened militarily and financially to the point that it is currently unable to launch a broad campaign against Israel. Neriah assessed that Hezbollah is now concentrating much of its effort on Lebanon’s political arena. He said the group could still carry out isolated terrorist attacks against Israel. As for Hezbollah’s long-standing plans for a large-scale invasion of northern Israel, Neriah said they can now be “put in the archives.”
