*Kerem Shalom Crossing Completely Empty as Hamas Threatens Gaza Merchants* Look at this footage released by Tzav 9 and the Israel Border Communities Forum: The Kerem Shalom crossing was completely deserted Sunday morning. Not because the Israeli government stopped humanitarian aid, even after reports that Hamas pockets a staggering NIS 250 million ($67 million) every month from aid trucks entering Gaza. Instead, according to Israeli journalist Almog Boker, Gaza merchants themselves stopped transferring goods because Hamas is threatening them. Tzav 9 and the Israel Border Communities Forum are calling on the Israeli government and IDF to implement an effective humanitarian aid distribution system in demilitarized areas free of Hamas terrorists, while cutting off supplies to areas under Hamas control. They argue that this would allow Gaza merchants to receive goods without Hamas seizing shipments, collecting taxes, and continuing to enrich itself.
