Report: Iranian Assassination Plot Targeted Yair Netanyahu in Miami Iran allegedly plotted to assassinate Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s son Yair while he was living in Miami, according to a Newsmax report citing a U.S. law-enforcement source. Israeli intelligence reportedly uncovered the plot in December 2025 and assessed that Iranian operatives were already in the Miami area conducting surveillance on Yair Netanyahu’s residence and daily movements. According to the report, U.S. authorities were urgently notified and Yair Netanyahu and his security detail were instructed to leave immediately for Israel, reportedly leaving personal belongings behind. Prime Minister Netanyahu revealed earlier this week that Iran had tried to murder one of his sons, but did not identify which one. The new report names Yair as the alleged target.
