*New Probe: Flydubai Co-Pilot Shut Down Both Engines During Terror Attack* A new investigation published today by Italy’s Corriere della Sera reveals dramatic new details from the attempted hijacking of the Flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv. Investigators reportedly found that Omani co-pilot Hamam al-Hamami shut down both engines during the attack and assaulted the captain with an axe as the aircraft entered a violent dive. The emerging evidence indicates he intended to crash the aircraft, carrying 174 passengers, in an attempted mass-casualty terror attack. Passengers and off-duty pilots ultimately overpowered the attacker and helped regain control of the aircraft.
