Turkish Report: Israel Blocked S-400 Transfer to UAE as Ankara Seeks Return to F-35 Program Turkish media reports that Israel opposed a proposed transfer of Turkey’s Russian-made S-400 air defense systems to the United Arab Emirates, a move that could have helped Ankara clear a major obstacle to returning to the U.S. F-35 program. Turkey is now reportedly exploring an alternative solution to the S-400 issue, which is expected to be discussed during talks between President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President Donald Trump. Washington removed Turkey from the F-35 program after Ankara acquired the Russian S-400 system.
