Report Warns of October 7-Style Threat From PA Forces in Judea and Samaria A new study by Lt. Col. (res.) Maurice Hirsch warns that Palestinian Authority security forces have grown far beyond the limited police force envisioned under the Oslo Accords, developing into a force of roughly 70,000 personnel with military training and tens of thousands of weapons. The report warns that Israel’s major population centers are dangerously close to PA-controlled areas in Judea and Samaria. Some are within roughly 14–22 kilometers, raising concerns that a large-scale attack could rapidly threaten millions of Israelis in central Israel, Jerusalem and the Sharon region.
