*IDF Chief Orders Legal and Security Action Over “NZA” Film* IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir convened a senior-level discussion Monday over the film “NZA,” calling it a deliberate attempt to undermine the legitimacy of the IDF and the State of Israel. Zamir said the film is based on “blood libels, deliberate distortion of reality and false and serious accusations” against IDF soldiers and commanders. He ordered the establishment of a multidisciplinary team to formulate a response, instructed the Military Advocate General to examine possible legal action against the film and those involved, and ordered a review of possible leaks of classified material used in its production. Zamir also called for a broad Israeli and international public diplomacy campaign involving the Foreign Ministry, Justice Ministry and National Public Diplomacy Directorate. “We will not allow IDF soldiers to become targets through lies and blood libels,” Zamir said.
