*Smotrich Slams Arrests of Chabad Members Who Want to Serve in the IDF* Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich criticized the arrests of Chabad members over military enlistment, arguing that they have been prevented from joining the IDF for three years. According to Smotrich, Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara canceled an enlistment arrangement that previously allowed Chabad members to serve. "They want to enlist, but they can't. And these are the people you're going to arrest?" Smotrich said. He accused those behind the situation of attempting to create divisions and bring down the government.
