*Yeshiva Students and Supporters Protest IDF Draft Near Yavne* Members of the Jerusalem Faction, an ultra-Orthodox group opposed to mandatory military service for yeshiva students, held a surprise demonstration Sunday morning following the arrest of a yeshiva student over his military service status. Protesters blocked Highway 4 in both directions near the Yavne interchange during morning rush hour, causing significant traffic disruptions. The demonstration comes amid ongoing tensions over proposed legislation regulating military service for yeshiva students, with protesters calling for the preservation of Torah study and opposing compulsory enlistment.
