*Senior Hamas Operative Captured in Gaza, Katz Says* Defense Minister Israel Katz says a senior Hamas operative was captured in Gaza following a coordinated operation involving Israeli forces and an anti-Hamas militia. Katz said Israel’s policy is to pursue Hamas terrorists, dismantle their infrastructure and maintain a security zone inside Gaza. He added that Israel will not withdraw until Hamas is disarmed, Gaza is demilitarized and terror tunnels are destroyed. Hamas-linked sources separately claimed an anti-Hamas militia attempted to seize a senior Hamas commander near the American Hospital in Gaza City amid several Israeli airstrikes. Those details have not yet been independently confirmed.
