Five Assault Rifles Discovered Near Israel's Border With Jordan A suspected weapons smuggling attempt was uncovered near Israel's border with Jordan after a farmer discovered a suspicious bag containing three AK-47 rifles and two M4 rifles. The discovery was made by a resident of Sha'ar Israel Farm, a security outpost established on Israeli territory beyond the border fence. The farmer immediately alerted IDF soldiers and Border Police officers, who secured the weapons and transferred them for police examination. Israeli military officials say the incident highlights the importance of these remote security farms, which provide an additional civilian presence along a vast border where military coverage is limited.
