*Danon Fires Back at NYC Mayor: “If Anyone Should Be Arrested, It’s Mayor Mamdani”* Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, fired back at New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani ahead of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to New York for the UN General Assembly. “If someone should be arrested, it’s Mayor Mamdani,” Danon said, accusing the mayor of incitement against Israel. Mamdani has repeatedly called for Netanyahu’s arrest over the International Criminal Court warrant, while acknowledging that New York City does not have independent legal authority to carry it out. Netanyahu is expected to address the UN General Assembly despite the controversy.
