Iranian Mahan Air Flight Lands in China Despite New U.S. Sanctions Pressure A Mahan Air flight from Tehran landed in Guangzhou, China, on Wednesday as new U.S. restrictions targeting Iran’s aviation sector took effect. FlightRadar24 data showed Flight IRM093 landing in Guangzhou despite Washington warning that entities providing landing services to Iranian carriers could face consequences, including restrictions involving the U.S. financial system. China has publicly rejected Washington’s unilateral sanctions against Iran. For now, Beijing appears unwilling to follow Washington’s lead in isolating Iranian aviation.
