*Inside Hezbollah's Massive Tunnel Network: 20 Years of Construction, Destroyed by the IDF* The IDF has revealed details of a massive Hezbollah underground complex beneath the Ali al-Taher Ridge in southern Lebanon, approximately 15 kilometers from Israel's border. According to the military, the network stretched over two kilometers and took up to 20 years to excavate. The tunnels contained command centers, weapons storage areas, missile and drone launch positions, sleeping quarters, and communications facilities. The complex served as a command center for Hezbollah's Badr Unit and helped support operations targeting Israeli forces and northern communities. After nearly three months of operations, IDF troops, including the elite Yahalom combat engineering unit, cleared the tunnels and dismantled the complex on September 10. The findings reveal the scale of Hezbollah's underground military infrastructure built over decades near Israel's northern border.
