Defense Minister Katz Issues Warning Over Possible Gaza Abduction Plot Defense Minister Israel Katz issued an unusual warning amid what he described as information and indications regarding possible abduction plans in Gaza. “I warn the Hamas terrorist organization and its supporters, from Iran to Erdoğan: If even one Israeli soldier or civilian is abducted, the entire city of Gaza will be evacuated south of its one million residents and treated in the same way Rafah and Beit Hanoun were treated, until they are returned,” Katz said.
