Turkey Moves Closer to Military Alliance With Saudi Arabia and Pakistan Turkey has submitted a trilateral defense agreement with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan to parliament for ratification. The agreement, signed in August, establishes a mutual defense commitment under which an attack on one member is considered an attack on all three. The move comes as Saudi Arabia faces continued attacks from Yemen's Iran-backed Houthis.
