*Trump Names John Coale Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs* President Donald Trump announced that attorney John Coale will serve as Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs. Trump said Coale helped secure the return of more than 65 Americans and other foreign nationals over the past year and negotiated the release of more than 800 political prisoners in Eastern Europe. Current envoy Adam Boehler will remain involved as a senior adviser.
