*Heated Clash Erupts at Central Elections Committee* A heated confrontation erupted at Israel’s Central Elections Committee during a hearing on requests to disqualify Balad chairman Sami Abu Shehadeh from running for the 26th Knesset. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir repeatedly accused MK Ahmad Tibi of being a “terrorist” and supporting terrorism. Tibi protested that Arab representatives were being attacked whenever they approached the podium. MK Tally Gotliv fired back: “What do we care that you are Arab? You support terrorism!” The exchange descended into shouting as Tibi attempted to continue his remarks.
