JEWASITY: A new jail is coming to Brooklyn in 2029. The new Brooklyn jail is a 15-story, 1,040-bed facility being built at 275 Atlantic Avenue in Boerum Hill. Costing roughly $2.96 billion, it is part of New York City's borough-based jail program to replace Rikers Island and is expected to be completed in spring 2029.
