🇻🇪🇺🇸⚖️ JUDGE DENIES CILIA FLORES HOUSE ARREST REQUEST: A federal judge on Thursday denied Cilia Flores, wife of ousted Venezuelan President Nicolás Madura, release from jail to house arrest despite her lawyers citing serious heart-related health concerns. The ruling came the same day federal prosecutors filed new charges accusing Maduro and Flores of conspiring to torture political opponents and American citizens detained in Venezuela. Both remain jailed in Brooklyn ahead of trial.
