OPENAI ENGINEER ARRESTED OVER ALLEGED SECRET BUGGING: Federal prosecutors say Abdulrahman Alfozan, 35, a Saudi national and OpenAI engineer, hid an encrypted recording device wrapped in toilet paper behind a TV in an executive conference room at the company's San Francisco office. Prosecutors say surveillance video showed him near the restricted room, and that a second, similar device was found in a bag left in another room along with his wallet and ID. He was arrested Oct. 9 and charged with using a device to intercept oral communications. OpenAI says it has no indications that model weights, source code or customer data were accessed.
