Israel's Shin Bet reportedly confirmed that a “significant threat" to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's son Yair prompted his urgent evacuation from Florida back to Israel along with his security team. The confirmation follows reports that Israeli intelligence uncovered an alleged Iranian assassination plot against Yair in December 2025, with operatives reportedly conducting surveillance in the Miami area. Channel 12 reported that Shin Bet agents were even reassigned from President Isaac Herzog's security detail in New York during his visit, to assist with the operation. The Shin Bet itself did not publicly identify who was behind the threat, though Netanyahu said last week that Iran had attempted to murder one of his sons.
