President Donald Trump is addressing for the first time reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received warnings from Egypt about the Hamas attack before Oct. 7, saying he does not believe Netanyahu was warned. “I don’t think so,” Trump said in an interview with Time published Thursday. “I think if he would have known, he would have done something about it.” Trump said he had heard the reports for the first time and added that Netanyahu would at least have put Israeli forces on alert if he had received such a warning. Netanyahu responded on X: “President Trump is right.”
