A Jewish man in his 40s was found dead in a forest near the grave of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov in Uman during Rosh Hashanah, with Ukrainian authorities investigating the circumstances surrounding his death. The victim was identified as Yitzchak Elimechais, a British resident and father of seven who had been staying in Uman. His body was discovered in a wooded area not far from the Breslov pilgrimage site, where tens of thousands of Jewish worshippers from Israel and around the world had gathered for the holiday. Emergency responders who arrived at the scene pronounced him dead. Injuries were reportedly found on his body, raising suspicions that he may have been murdered. However, authorities have not officially confirmed that the death was a homicide, and the investigation remains ongoing.
