President Donald Trump and U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro engaged in a heated Oval Office confrontation Monday over her decision to drop a felony vandalism case involving damage to the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, according to The New York Times. The newspaper reported that Pirro forcefully defended her decision and accused Interior Secretary Doug Burgum of misleading Trump about the case, while Burgum pushed back during an hourlong exchange. Despite public criticism from Trump and speculation she could be fired, Pirro left the meeting with her job intact, the Times reported.
