FEMA FIRES 3 MORE WORKERS OVER PRO-TRUMP HOME SKIPPING: Three additional FEMA employees have been fired after an inspector general report found crews skipped some Florida homes displaying pro-Trump signs while responding to Hurricane Milton in 2024. DHS said an internal investigation determined the workers failed to meet FEMA’s standards of conduct. FEMA Administrator Cameron Hamilton said, “Political bias has no room in public service.” The controversy began after supervisor Marn’i Washington was fired for directing crews to avoid certain homes with Trump signage, though she maintains the instruction was intended to protect workers from potentially hostile encounters.
