TWO ARRESTED AFTER BREACH AT U.S.-OPERATED UK MILITARY BASE: Two Latvian nationals, ages 32 and 36, were arrested early Thursday after police discovered a hole in the perimeter fence at RAF Molesworth, a major U.S. and NATO intelligence hub about 70 miles north of London. An abandoned vehicle was found near the base around 10 p.m. Wednesday, and the suspects were located inside around 2 a.m. and arrested under Britain’s National Security Act on suspicion of entering a prohibited site for purposes harmful to UK security. Counterterrorism police are investigating their motives and searching two properties in Peterborough. The breach comes less than two weeks after seven arrests connected to a separate suspected plot involving RAF Fairford, though authorities say there is currently no evidence linking the two incidents.
