BDE: Dovid Einhorn, a Holocaust survivor who spent decades sharing his experiences with students, community groups and elected officials to preserve the memory of the Holocaust, died Friday, just days after hundreds gathered in Brooklyn to celebrate his 100th birthday. Einhorn, a longtime resident of Brooklyn's Borough Park neighborhood, survived the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II and was the sole survivor of his immediate family. Over the years, he became a well-known Holocaust educator, recounting his experiences at schools, yeshivas and community events and urging younger generations to remember the victims of the Holocaust and combat antisemitism.
