President Donald Trump’s executive order seeking major changes to childhood vaccination policy could face significant financial and logistical hurdles for parents, health providers and drugmakers. The order calls for separating combination vaccines, including the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) shot, into individual injections and spacing vaccinations when possible. Implementing the changes could require drugmakers to revive vaccines that have not been sold separately in the U.S. for decades and build new manufacturing capacity to produce millions of additional doses.
