🚆 NJ TRANSIT RIDERS BRACE FOR FIVE WEEKS OF SERVICE CHANGES: NJ Transit is running adjusted schedules through Nov. 15 as crews move the final track onto the new Portal North Bridge over the Hackensack River, replacing the 116-year-old Portal Bridge. Weekday Midtown Direct trains on the Morris & Essex, Gladstone Branch and Montclair-Boonton lines will run to Hoboken instead of New York Penn Station, while weekend trains still go to Penn Station. Some other lines have bus substitutions. NJ Transit is cross-honoring tickets on NY Waterway ferries, the 126 bus and PATH at Hoboken and 33rd Street, and riders who can work from home are being encouraged to do so.
