JUDGE AGAIN BLOCKS TRUMP MAIL-VOTING ORDER: ⚖️🇺🇸 — A federal judge on Thursday temporarily blocked implementation of President Trump’s executive order restricting mail voting, marking the second time the directive has been halted. U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani issued a 14-day restraining order ahead of a Sept. 3 hearing, after Democrats and voting-rights groups renewed their challenges. The Supreme Court earlier this week lifted Talwani’s previous injunction on procedural grounds, ruling the challenges had been brought too soon without deciding whether Trump’s order is legal. The latest ruling is expected to be quickly appealed.
