🇮🇱💧ISRAEL WATER AUTHORITY: KINNERET INFLOW AT 100-YEAR LOW: Two consecutive dry seasons in northern Israel have left the combined available water in the Kinneret at its lowest level in a century of measurements, just 208 million cubic meters, according to the Water Authority's Hydrological Service. The warning comes weeks after five of Israel's six Mediterranean desalination plants were temporarily shut down or scaled back over unusually turbid seawater, which officials believe was caused by algae drifting north from the Nile region in Egypt. Despite near-average rainfall nationwide, northern water sources remain depleted, while parts of southern Israel saw record flooding.
