EGYPTAIR PILOT’S EL AL VIDEO RAISES NEW AVIATION SECURITY CONCERNS: An EgyptAir pilot identified in reports as Osama Mansour posted a video showing an El Al aircraft in Italy accompanied by audio from former Egyptian President Anwar Sadat declaring, “An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, and violence for violence.” The post is drawing heightened scrutiny following the recent Flydubai terror incident, in which a co-pilot previously flagged over extremist views attacked the captain and attempted to crash an Israel-bound passenger plane. The incidents are fueling renewed questions over how airlines and governments vet pilots, assess threatening social-media activity and prevent individuals who may pose security risks from gaining control of commercial aircraft.
