🇨🇳 CHINA SOLE G20 HOLDOUT IN 19–1 SPLIT: China blocked consensus at the G20 Finance Ministers meeting, objecting to language calling for “free, safe and predictable” navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. Beijing reportedly feared such wording could set a precedent for the Taiwan Strait and South China Sea. China also opposed provisions targeting large trade surpluses, non-market policies and export-driven economic models. The other 19 finance ministers backed the statement, leaving the final split 19–1.
