The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has ordered its EAGLE bus fare enforcement teams to stand down while officials investigate allegations of excessive force against a Brooklyn man. MTA Chairman Janno Lieber announced the temporary suspension Thursday, citing concerns about a pattern of incidents involving fare inspectors. The investigation follows an Oct. 6 confrontation involving Kyle Taylor, 53, after he exited a B14 bus in Brownsville. Video of the encounter shows inspectors appearing to grab Taylor and pin him against a bus stop after demanding proof that he had paid his fare.
