🇺🇸 REPORT: PENTAGON DEVELOPING PLAN FOR BASES TO OPERATE 90 DAYS WITHOUT OUTSIDE SUPPORT: The Pentagon is developing an initiative called FORTRESS that would require major continental U.S. military installations to run essential operations, including electricity, water, fuel and communications, for at least 90 days without outside support during a major war, according to documents reviewed by Fox News. The plan envisions portable nuclear reactors, large-scale batteries and microgrids that could disconnect bases from the civilian grid. It also calls for stockpiles of munitions, fuel, critical minerals and medical supplies, backup supply sources, and a network of civilian factories that could switch to defense production.
