💰 SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS COULD RISE 3.5% IN 2027: Social Security recipients are reportedly projected to receive a 3.5% cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) next year, potentially the largest increase in four years. Under the estimate, a $2,000 monthly benefit would rise to about $2,070, while the average payment cited by the New York Post would increase by roughly $68 per month to just over $2,000. The increase is not yet official — the Social Security Administration will announce the final 2027 COLA on October 14, after September inflation data is released.
