Whenever the news turns bad, this creep reaches for one name: mine,” Omar wrote on X. “So let’s make it crystal clear. My name has always been Ilhan Omar. Maybe you should focus on what your VP’s real name is,” she added. Omar’s remark appeared to reference Vance’s name changes. Born James Donald Bowman, he later used the surname Hamel before legally changing his name to James David Vance in 2013.
