HEZBOLLAH SUBMUNITION BELIEVED TO HAVE CAUSED DEADLY SCHOOL TRIP BLAST: The Israeli military believes the unexploded ordnance that detonated during a school trip in northern Israel's Ramim Ridge area was a submunition from a Hezbollah rocket. A preliminary investigation indicates one of the students may have picked up the device along the Naftali Mountains Forest scenic route and placed it in his backpack, where it exploded several minutes later. The blast killed a 15-year-old boy and wounded 19 others, including two seriously and three moderately. During the recent war, Hezbollah fired Grad rockets carrying dozens of BRB1-type submunitions into northern Israel, many of which did not explode on impact.
