🩸 ISRAELI RESEARCHERS DEVELOP PROMISING LUNG CANCER BLOOD TEST: Tel Aviv University researchers, working with JaxBio Technologies and doctors at Bnai Zion and Sheba, published a peer-reviewed study on a roughly $60 blood test that detects a chemical fingerprint on circulating DNA without costly sequencing. In a 103-person trial, it detected 93.1% of stage 2–4 lung cancers and correctly identified 90.3% of healthy controls, while also distinguishing major lung cancer subtypes. The test is not yet validated for stage 1 disease or routine screening, and a larger Israel-Europe trial is underway. Researchers say it is designed to complement CT scans, not replace them.
