🇺🇸🇨🇦 REPORT: TRUMP EXPECTED TO LIFT SOME CANADIAN TARIFFS AHEAD OF MIDTERM ELECTIONS: President Trump is expected to remove 50% tariffs on certain Canadian agricultural and forestry products, potentially as soon as Friday, in a move aimed at helping Republican Sen. Susan Collins of Maine and other GOP candidates ahead of November’s midterm elections, according to The Wall Street Journal. Collins has pushed for tariff relief as she faces a competitive reelection race against Democrat Troy Jackson. The administration reportedly may offset the reductions by raising tariffs on other Canadian goods. The final scope and timing remain uncertain.
