Israeli actress Gal Gadot, the 2026 recipient of the Genesis Prize, has joined the Genesis Prize Foundation and the Jewish Funders Network (JFN) to provide a total of $3 million in grants to Israeli nonprofit organizations working in mental health, trauma care and support for caregivers and frontline professionals. Gadot announced when she was named the 2026 laureate in November 2025 that she would dedicate the prize's $1 million award to organizations helping Israeli society recover from the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack and the wars that followed. A matching initiative involving JFN and additional donors subsequently raised another $2 million.
