🚆 NEW HUDSON RIVER TUNNEL BORING SET TO BEGIN: Crews are reportedly preparing to start boring the first section of the new Hudson Tunnel Project, marking a major milestone for the Gateway Program and the first new rail tunnel project beneath the Hudson River in more than a century. The first tunnel boring machine will excavate roughly one mile through the Palisades from North Bergen, beginning construction of a new rail connection designed to add capacity between New Jersey and Manhattan and relieve pressure on the existing century-old tunnels.
