An Ashkelon couple has been arrested on suspicion of carrying out a long-running espionage operation for Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). According to investigators, the pair allegedly gathered intelligence on a range of sensitive sites— including the homes of Israeli security officials, as well as civilian and military infrastructure-and passed the information to IRGC handlers in exchange for payment, including cryptocurrency. The arrests are the latest in a series of Iranian recruitment and espionage cases uncovered by Israeli authorities.
