Jewish News 24 — video status

Hundreds of members of Tehran’s Jewish community gathered at the capital’s central Yosef Abad Synagogue on Sunday night for a spirited Motzaei Simchat Torah celebration, dancing with Torah scrolls and singing as the Jewish community marked the end of the holiday. Video footage from inside the synagogue showed men and young people forming circles and dancing while embracing and raising the Torah scrolls. Rabbi Yehuda Grami, Iran’s chief rabbi, led the celebrations and was seen holding a Torah scroll aloft as worshippers danced around him.
