🇮🇱 ISRAELI RESEARCHERS DISCOVER POTENTIAL BREAKTHROUGH IN CANCER TREATMENT: Scientists at Ben-Gurion University, led by Dr. Aeid Igbaria, have identified two “guardian proteins” that help cancer cells survive chemotherapy by blocking their natural self-destruction process. Researchers found that disrupting these proteins, DNAJB12 and DNAJB14, could allow cancer cells to destroy themselves, potentially paving the way for more effective treatments against aggressive, chemotherapy-resistant tumors. The discovery may also help scientists develop ways to protect heart tissue following a heart attack. The findings, published in Redox Biology, remain at the experimental stage.
