Two Florida Democrats with strong pro-Israel records, Reps. Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Jared Moskowitz, are taking on new roles on the House Foreign Affairs Committee as Democrats reshuffle their assignments. Wasserman Schultz, who represents South Florida, will join the Oversight and Intelligence Subcommittee, while Moskowitz will become the Democratic ranking member of the Middle East and North Africa Subcommittee. The changes give the two Florida lawmakers prominent roles on a panel overseeing U.S. foreign policy and issues involving Israel and the broader Middle East.
