The U.S. economy blows past expectations in August, adding 162,000 jobs as the labor market rebounds from July's surprise decline. Economists surveyed by LSEG were expecting just 56,000 jobs, putting the actual gain at nearly THREE TIMES the forecast. The unemployment rate holds steady at 4.1%, right in line with expectations.
