🇬🇧 UK LAUNCHES "BE READY" CAMPAIGN URGING HOUSEHOLDS TO PREPARE FOR THREE DAYS OF DISRUPTION: The British government launched its "Be Ready" campaign Thursday, urging households to keep enough food, water and essentials to cope with three days of disruption from emergencies such as severe storms, wildfires, power cuts and cyberattacks. Recommended supplies include three liters of drinking water per person per day, non-perishable food, essential medication, first aid supplies, a torch, a battery or wind-up radio, a charged power bank and cash. Defence Secretary Wes Streeting named cyberattacks and severe weather as threats, he told The Guardian. The Cabinet Office said it is the first stage of a three-year campaign.
