HOUSE REPUBLICANS SUBPOENA NEW JERSEY OVER 6,600 NONCITIZENS REGISTERED TO VOTE: House Republicans, led by Jim Jordan and Jeff Van Drew, have subpoenaed Gov. Mikie Sherrill’s administration after New Jersey revealed that approximately 6,600 noncitizens were mistakenly registered to vote between 2023 and 2024, with roughly 400 casting ballots. Lawmakers say the state provided just 12 documents despite months of requests and are demanding answers about how the errors occurred. Acting Secretary of State Shirley Emehelu has until November 16 to comply. Sherrill says her administration has taken corrective action and accused Republicans of political theater ahead of the midterm elections.
